NEW TEAM MEMBERS BRING NEW IDEAS TO ORANGEYE
You can pay a lot for the latest technology but you can’t put a price on great staff.
As Orangeye’s client base grows so must our team, to ensure that we continue delivering world class content while also providing boundary-pushing ideas.
Let’s meet the new guys helping us do that.
Thomas’s earliest graphic design work can be found on the inside covers of his school copybooks, indicating that design was the only career for him.
After his school days, he made his craft the centre of his education, studying graphic design in Letterkenny Institute of Technology, expanding on a life-long love of design and video.
He brings with him a thorough knowledge of a variety of graphic and video design and the can-do attitude on which Orangeye prides itself.
As well as creating fresh and eye-catching graphic design, Thomas is passionate about video, taking pride in his adaptability: “I stick to minimalism so I don’t overdo my design. I start with the basics and if it needs more I add more but I try to keep it as minimal as possible.”
Thomas enjoys the challenges of quick turnarounds that the industry affords him and his quality designs and videos have already got the approval of our clients and partners.
Simeon joins Orangeye from FUDGE CREATIVE in Dublin, bringing with him an impressive portfolio born from a lifelong love of design.
His graphic design and video content has been featured by organisations as diverse as Le Cool magazine, RTÉ and GoldenPlec.
Simeon prides himself on clean vector-based illustrations, having designed magazines magazine concert posters with tidy yet detailed creatives.
He feels that his craft can be easy, fun and rewarding. “I love illustration. It’s a really simple way of creating work that’s eye-catching with as little amount of equipment and time spent.”
When it comes to working, Simeon says you can never underestimate the power of pen and paper.
“The most pleasant thing ever is getting a piece of paper, just simply drawing something then turning that into a vector because it cleans it up to the point where everything looks so intentional and polished.”
The latest member of the Orangeye team will continue contributing great graphic design, while also expanding on a portfolio of engaging videos.
He loves that no two days in the industry are the same: “Every day is a learning day and that’s what makes the work exciting”
Welcoming the new team members
Creative Director at Orangeye, Derek Cassells, can’t wait to see what the new team members bring to the mix.
“We are delighted to have added two very creative and equally talented designers to our team here at Orangeye. The success of Orangeye and its exponential growth has allowed us the opportunity to strengthen our team and add a wider offering of creativity to our clients. We very quickly cited Thomas’ ability as videographer and his distinct flair as a designer, displaying a high quality refined approach to his design, and as a result moved quickly to secure his future here at Orangeye. Simeon showed equal flair in design and creativity, but we simply couldn’t ignore his distinct specialty in illustration, his ability to create mind-blowing illustrations that not only attracted attention from our whole team, but also that of the illustrious ‘Le Cool’ magazine, RTÉ, and many other high profile Irish musicians. We are incredibly excited about the future of our two talented designers, and the promise they add to the future of Orangeye! “
